Property in Javea and Properties in Javea

Filed under: secured loans — securedloansexpert @ 3:09 pm

Javea is a coastal town, in the province of Alicante. It sits behind a bay between two rocky headlands, Cabo San Antonio and Cabo La Nao. Surrounded by orange, lemon and olive groves. The town is dominated by the Montgo peak, 753 metres high, declared a Natural Park in 1997.

Montgo protects Javea from harsh north winds and it enjoys a micro-climate said to be one of the healthiest in the world. There are more recorded hours of sunshine than anywhere else in Spain making it popular with tourists and ex-pats alike. There is a population of about 32,000 people which swells to around 100,000 in the summer months, making properties in Javea very desireable

Javea lies midway between the cities of Alicante and Valencia, which both have international airports and has good road connections to both via the N332 A road or the A7 motorway. There is also a regular bus service to the two cities as well as a daily service to Madrid. The nearest railway station is Gata de Gorgos, a ten minute drive away, with a regular service to Alicante.

Property in Javea can be split into three distinct parts:
The Old Town, once a walled and fortified town to protect it from pirates, stone crosses now mark the original gates in three locations. In the centre of the town is the impressive church of Sant Bartolome which dates back to the 14th century although some of the structure may go back as far as the 11th century. The church suffered significant damage during the Spanish Civil War and shell and bullet holes can still be seen in some walls today.

There is an indoor market built in 1946 selling fruit, vegetables, meat and locally caught fish.
There is also a local museum, “Museo Historico y Etnografico Municipal J.B.Soler Blasco Javea”, which shows the history of Javea and can be visited between the hours of 10.00-13.00 and 17.00-20.00 and 10.00-13.00 weekends and bank holidays, but it is closed on Mondays.

The Port: popular with tourists due to its bars, restaurants, safe gravel beach and marina. The first jetty was built in 1871 and was important in the export of raisins. When the raisin trade collapsed at the end of the 19th century it became a fishing harbour which is how it remains today. There is also the landmark church “Nuestra Señora de Loreto” built in 1967, in the shape of a fishing boat going through the waves.

The Arenal:a wide beach of white sand with a promenade, bars and restaurants. There is an outdoor craft market during the summer as well as sand artists and street entertainers. There is also a Parador Hotel behind which once stood the “Punta del Arenal” a Roman settlement. On the other end of the bay once stood the Fontana Castle whose canons can still be seen outside the Sant Bartolome church in the old town.

Market day is on Thursday except when it is a bank holiday. There are many multinational and multilingual businesses some of which offer javea properties at exceptional prices. There are three local fiestas, San Juan in June, Moors and Christians in July and Nuestra Señora de Loreto in September. There is a large range of rental centres and shops catering to a wide range of activities including cycling, diving, fishing, golf, horse riding, sailing and hiking.

Ways of Paying for Health Insurance

Filed under: secured loans — securedloansexpert @ 2:59 pm

When it comes to health insurance, many people don’t exactly know everything that there is to know about the subject. That only stands to reason, it is not something that is easily understood because of its complexity. For instance, when you visit the doctor you may be asked to pay something that is called the “co-pay”, and other times you may not have to do anything at all depending on your plan. Let’s look at some of the ways that health insurance is paid for.

Often times, your employer will sponsor your insurance and you only have to pay what is known as a “co-pay” or co payment. The co-pay is a set amount that is determined by your insurance company when you receive covered services. This is a significantly smaller fee than you would be paying without the co-pay. Many companies offer this type of payment option because it is easier on the employee to pay this way.

You may consider opening what is known as a Healthcare Savings Account (HSA). This will assure that you always have a location in which to retrieve payments for various medical expenses. The HSA is a pre-tax savings account where a portion of your pre-tax income, determined by you, is deposited into an account automatically. Since this account comes from your paycheck pre-tax, that means it will lower your overall taxable income. This means you are saving money in terms of taxes and saving lots of money towards your overall health care costs.

For certain disabled individuals and those above the age of 65, Medicare is also another way to pay for health insurance. While they will not pay all of your healthcare expenses, they will pay for most of them. Medicare, however, doesn’t cover prescription drugs and nursing homes. It is important that you check the different types of restrictions that may apply. There are low-cost prescription discount cards that have been proven to save people who require costly medications on a regular basis over 50% of what they would have been paying without any health care.

Paying for health insurance doesn’t have to be complicated as long as you understand just what is going on in terms of where you stand with your plan. Discuss any questions you may have about the plan before committing to one. While one plan may be right for many people, it does not always mean that it will fit your specific needs.

The UK may be in recession with thousands of people losing their jobs every month, but there is high demand for Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) drivers. Therefore, there is an opportunity for anyone who undertakes the necessary HGV training to get a job with good pay and job security.

In order to become an HGV driver, you need to be properly trained, qualified and licensed. You should start by finding a professional transport training company and enrolling on an HGV training course. You should look for a qualified training company who have instructors that are experienced at driving the type of vehicles you wish to drive. They should be knowledgeable, patient and good at building your confidence. They will be able to share with you a wealth of knowledge and skills that will prepare you for your driving test.

In order to drive a HGV vehicle, you will need to take a theory and a practical driving test, as follows:

The Theory Test

There are two parts to the theory test and they can be taken separately or on the same day. You can also choose which one to do first. You need to pass both parts to gain an overall pass. Once you have passed the theory test you can then apply to take your practical driving test.

The Practical Driving Test

This is designed to test the skills you will need to be a professional driver.

The practical test involves:

  • vehicle safety questions
  • a test of driving ability
  • a test of specific manoeuvres, including a braking exercise and reversing into a bay

To become an HGV driver you will need a high degree of vehicle handling skill, which is why you need the right HGV driver training before you take your practical test. To become a professional lorry driver you will also need to know about the regulations that relate to your work and have a strong knowledge of the Highway Code, especially road markings and signs that relate to heavy goods vehicles.

New Year Resolutions Redux: Fix My Credit-Get Fit-More Cash

Filed under: secured loans — securedloansexpert @ 2:58 pm

With many indicators suggesting the beginning of a recovery in the housing market, potential home buyers can still find plenty of selection, low prices and low interest rates. If you’re thinking of buying a home, now might be the right time, but before you contact a real estate agent or apply for a mortgage, your top priority should be checking your credit report to see if your credit is in good shape. Credit, specifically misuse and misunderstanding of credit, spurred the mortgage crisis, many experts agree. The consequences have included tighter standards from lenders and the need for borrowers to better understand get a credit card without a credit check. If your credit report shows a FICO score of less than 750 you may have trouble getting a mortgage.

Getting extra cash when you need it has never been easier. Cash advance or payday loan companies approve loans for all types of people regardless of credit. If you need money for an unexpected bill or car repair, it is possible to get the needed cash within a business day with low cost payday loan. Cash advance or payday loan companies provide personal loans to people with good and bad credit. Getting approved is simple. Those who apply for a loan must meet certain requirements such as steady employment, a minimum monthly salary that can repay the loan amount, have a checking or savings account, and be at least 18 years old. If you meet these requirements, your loan request will likely be approved.

Maybe the most common New Year resolution is to lose weight and get in shape. For most of us, however, the spirit is strong but the flesh is weak. The diet and fitness plan that was on the table in January is usually gathering dust in the corner by March. One way to jump start your resolution is to get a piece of fitness training equipment like the wrist blood pressure monitor accuracy and leave it in plain sight in the middle of the lving room until you have used it for two weeks or so. If you do not start using it you will feel more guilty about spending the money and looking at that thing every day then you will about the hassle of actually starting a fitness program. I know it works because it was only after the avalanche of chuckles from my friends and family about that thing in the middle of the room that I put it to work.

Which Codec is King of the Hill?

Filed under: secured loans — securedloansexpert @ 2:43 pm

In the beginning years of web video, you might encode Real, Windows Media, and Quicktime versions of your movie, in several sizes, so anyone visiting your site could watch, figuring everybody was bound to have at least one of those plugins.

Then a lot of people got cable modems and DSL which removed the need to provide tiny movies for dialup customers.

Flash then updated their nearly universal browser plugin to show FLV video content. Many developers migrated to Flash video, because posting one movie is easier than posting three. Flash seemed to have won, for the time being.

But then, the H.264 codec, also known as AVC, burst upon the scene, popularized by its support in Quicktime 7 starting in April 2005. It immediately blew everyone away with its amazing quality and low bitrate requirements, being able to present stunning quality HD video that started playing almost immediately (when encoded by an expert compressionist).

H.264 became the standard codec adopted by manufacturers for all kinds of devices - from camcorders from Canon and Panasonic to Apple iPods, iPhones, and Apple TVs, Sony PlayStations & PSPs, Archos TV, Microsoft Xbox 360s and Zune players, cell phones and many other devices.

Meanwhile, hundreds of millions of Windows computer owners were buying Apple iPods, which neccesitated downloading iTunes & Quicktime, so the Quicktime browser plugin was gaining ground very quickly on Windows computers (as well as being installed on 100% of Macs).

So then, there was once again a dilemma for internet video producers; stick with Flash with wider browser support; or go with Quicktime H.264 for better quality and device compatibility? Or both?

Finally, the momentous announcement came from Adobe in August of 2007 that the ubiquitous Flash plugin would support H.264 encoded video, and even provide special hardware acceleration to make fullscreen H.264 video play more smoothly. The confusion was over. H.264 had won the codec wars, perhaps forever.

After that, the race was on to come up with the best H.264 codec and encoder. For now at least, the clear winner is the x264 variation.

Tri

Filed under: secured loans — securedloansexpert @ 3:07 pm

Let me tell you a little bit about a sport unlike any other. Let me tell you about a sport that is in a category all by itself. Let me tell you about a sport with unappreciated challenges. Let me tell you why it’s not for sissies.

I’d like to talk a little about the sport of triathlon, and why it is the best. First it is made up of three sports in one. To be the best it isn’t good enough to be just a good runner, or a good, cyclist, or a good swimmer. In fact good in any of these categories is simply not good enough for anything but second place, and second in my opinion is just the first looser.

In most triathlons the order is as follows swim, bike, run. I would imagine that you swim first because race organizers and directors wouldn’t want you to drown from fatigue if it were in any other order. However, I have seen it in different order before.

There are a few different types of triathlon. Let me begin with the sprint distance. This is generally about a 300 to 500 meter swim, followed by a 13 to 18 mile bike ride, wrapped up with about a 5k run. Next is the Olympic/international distance triathlon. This is a bit longer and tougher. It starts with a mile swim, not a walk in the park some people can’t even make it passed the swim. Then you transition to a 25 to 30 mile bike ride. Don’t misunderstand though; this is no casual ride through your neighborhood. Competitive speeds for top level athletes average 20+ miles per hour. Then from the bike you make your way to the 10k run to the finish. Last and certainly not least is the grueling ironman. First you begin with an unparalleled swim of 2.4 miles. Then if you’re still standing upright make your way over to the 112 mile bike portion, which is just as long as some of the Tour De France stages, need I say more. Cap this bad boy off with a marathon distance run of 26 miles 385 yards and you’ve done it.

So, what do you think are you up for the challenge?

Sunburn Remedies

Filed under: secured loans — securedloansexpert @ 2:56 pm

July and August are “Sunburn Season” when everybody needs a few natural remedies for their sunburn. These are the vacation months in the US and the time for fun in the sun before returning to school or buckling down on the job. Some people get more sun in these months than the rest of the year.

Are You More Susceptible to Burning?

Going from no sun to lots of sun can give you a sunburn fast. On top of that, did you know that many medications increase your chances of getting sunburned?

Antibiotics, antidepressants, accutane and retin A, allergy meds, blood pressure pills, diabetic drugs, birth control or menopausal hormones, statins, diuretics and even anti-inflammatory (NSAID) drugs are all on the photosensitivity list.

Many people find themselves in a Catch 22 - they don’t want to get sunburned, but they know they are more susceptible to sunburn. Should they completely avoid the sun? Not really a good idea. Avoiding the sun altogether can be dangerous. But it is important to be careful.

Why You Need the Sun

Getting sunlight is critical to our health. We get our Vitamin D through sunlight, not food. Vitamin D is very important to the healthy functioning of out body from healthy bones, heart, mental health, colds and flu and much more. Avoiding the sun and/or using too much sunblock prevents Vitamin D from forming and contributes to deficiencies.

Vitamin D is created on the skin when it exposed to sunlight. This doesn’t happen through glass, only with direct exposure. Dr. Mercola recently wrote about how surprized he was to discover that it takes a full 48 hours for the Vitamin D to be fully absorbed from the skin. He recommended only using soap under the arms and in the groin area. That may not be practical for most people, but it’s nice to know that skipping a shower now and then can actually contribute to your health!

Natural Sunburn Remedies:

Everybody’s skin reacts differently to sunburn and sunburn remedies. Here are a few to try - one of them is bound to do the trick for you:

LavaDerm Cooling Mist:

Specially formulated with lavender essential oil and aloe vera - two of nature’s most soothing, rejuvenating and healing substances. It soothes, protects and brings powerful relief to stressed and burned skin with its blend of gentle, skin-soothing ingredients.

Lavender Essential Oil:

Put a few drops of lavender essential oil on your sunburned skin for quick relief.

Aloe Vera:

If you have an aloe plant in the garden, break off a spear and gently rub the juice over your burn. Some varieties work better than others.

MMS (Miracle Mineral Solution):

It’s surprising that this solution works so well on burns, but I get the most relief and the fastest healing from burns when I use MMS. It’s inexpensive and easy to use:

MMS is a liquid. Spread a few drops of MMS (straight from the bottle) over the burned skin, wait 5 minutes and wash off (it’s very important to wash it off after 5 minutes). It will burn or sting a bit at first, but then subside. If the burning doesn’t completely stop, repeat a few hours later or the next day.

If the burn is a bad one, apply the MMS again a third time, but this time, leave it on. It will make your skin smell a little odd, but it won’t be offensive.

With any luck, you won’t suffer a sunburn this season, but if you do, to cool your skin down and help it recover faster, try these sunburn natural remedies.

Filed under: secured loans — securedloansexpert @ 2:52 pm

Hawaiian Vacations are generally great fun and suitable for all the family. Nobody will be bored, and when deciding where to go for your next vacation, Hawaii should be high on your list. Anybody that goes on vacation to Hawaii always comes back with a smile and promising themselves another trip there. There are many reasons for visiting Hawaii: a holiday during a school break, a wedding for which Hawaii is famed, or just to get away from it all for a while. Whatever your reason, there is so much to do there that it is often difficult to know what to pack, particularly if this is your first trip to the archipelago. Here are a few tips.

Clothing: When you pack for your vacation in Hawaii you’ll need to pack a few different items of clothing. Don’t just assume that it will be hot there all the time. Take a warm top and trousers as well just in case. You should also carry a rain jacket in case of a downpour. And, of course, don’t forget swimming gear and beach sandals.

Activities: Even though you will be busy seeing the sights and attractions in Hawaii, you should also pack some activities that you can do in case you have to stay inside. If you should have a rainy day, you might decide to stay in bed and just read a book. For the kids taking games and books along is important in case you take a long drive somewhere or you want to just relax.

Camera: you don’t want to forget your camera on a vacation to Hawaii. Think of all these volcanoes and other attractions, and you will want a few family photographs to remind you of all the great times you had. Also take a few batteries or a charger, and make sure there is enough room on the memory card - or take a spare. Don’t lose your holiday!

Travelers Checks: Travelers checks are safer than cash. If they get lost you can have them refunded, but not cash! They are useful for incidental expenditure, and if you take exactly what you budgeted to spend then you won’t spend too much. Make sure you leave plenty time to order and receive them.

Gone Fishing: If you want to ensure that you have fun in Hawaii you’ll probably want to take advantage of the fabulous diving and fishing there. Be sure to take your scuba or snorkeling equipment along with you. But if this is more than you want to carry with you to Hawaii, you can rent this equipment while there.

These are just some of the items you need to think about packing when you go to Hawaii, but to make sure you don’t forget anything, be sure to plan your packing with a list. Then relax and enjoy your Hawaii vacation knowing you have everything you need!
